I have discovered a number of great bands, simply because I happily showed up early enough to catch the openers. Case in point: Vampire Weekend opened for the Dirty Projectors in my town last fall. It was a great show and I was ecstatic to find out that they have started to get press recognition and critical acclaim.

So, I will try to update as frequently as possible (hopefully every time I go to a show with a good opening band) in hopes of finding more really great musicians.
